So, you can probably guess it's a Firefly filk. Also, ose. I wanted to write something about Kaylee, and then it got warped.

I think life is an apple you hold in your hand.

\nHow you shivered to hear all the tales we could tell!
\nBy our skin and our teeth we've survived every hell;

And I catch myself just before saying your name

\nThe Gods of this war play a merciless game
\nWith rules that I can't understand.<\/p>\n

The others don't know, and I doubt they will care,
\nThat I wake up each night with this sinking despair.
\nThe cockpit is empty, though Mal's always there.
\nI can't bring myself to come inside.<\/p>\n
