Ninjas that strike in the silence of midnight,
Ghost through the hallways unseen by the torchlight,
Reaching their victim and starting to sing,
That is the musical version of things.
Pirates say Arr! and then jump on the rigging,
Duel to the death but they won't stop their singing,
Skeletons dance in choreographed rings,
That is the musical version of things.
Spaceship is hit by torpedos and lasers,
Captain lies dying with no one to save her,
Ship going down and still everyone sings,
That is the musical version of things.
Knights clad in armor preparing for battle,
Hard working farmers out tending their cattle,
Everyone's dancing, including the king,
That is the musical version of things.
When the stress mounts,
When the end's near,
When the trouble starts,
Everyone's suddenly starting to sing, and everything seems all right.
